The ford Lehman has a telltale which starts to flow at about 1000rpm.

I don't usually check it other than to see it's flowing but today spotted a tiny sheen from it now and then.

Unsure if it's oil or diesel. A collected pint of it perhaps has 2 minute blobs of fluid on the surface which vanish after 20 mins.

Recently had the raw pump refurbed.

This morning filled up with diesel which puts head of diesel above the top of the engine. Unsure if related. We did have a bit of a spill during the fillup process, not much, again nit sure if related.

Unsure of this happened before.

It still happens when engine is warm so perhaps less likely to be unburnt diesel therefore.

No other symptoms. Engine seems happy.

Nothing to worry about or?

Additional...

Had assumed telltale was standard for this engine but it actually comes from the top of what looks like an anti-siphon loop emanating from the exhaust system aft of the engine, so what I'm seeing in the water is likely combustion products of some kind?

I have been playing with the tuning recently after an injector pump refurbishment. Can't tell any difference in running but perhaps it's now got some unburnt diesel ejected on each stroke?

Could the recent high water temperatures have a hand in it?

No sign of any emulsification in engine oil. No sign of anything in the freshwater circuit other than coolant and water.

Paranoia?
