I have twin Ford fsd 425 engines and when the engines are hot at normal cruising (1400 rpm) one engine is showing 1.5 Bar and the other is showing 2.5 bar also at tickover when hot ( i reduced it to about 700 rpm) I am getting my low oil pressure buzzers on ( set at 10 psi) I changed the gauges during the winter so I am pretty sure that the reading are reasonably accurate. Does anyone have any experience of low oil pressure on these engines, there is no knocks the engines start and run fine the oil and filter was changed at the start of the season. I was first going to change the relief valves and if that did not help I was thinking of fitting new oil pumps before I start changing bearings ect, any advice from anyone who has experience with these engines will be gratefully recieved.
