Force 120 outboard 1994

Hi all can anyone help me with any info on the Force 120 outboard that comes with the bayliner 1700 capri.
I have no idea on its spec never mind do you mix in the oil with the fuel first or what. any servicing tips or where I can download a manual or something. quite new to this size of engine. I only had a yamahe 70hp before for several months but that didnt worry me - but this thing is massive in size to what Im used to and need some info before I start using it (If I ever manage to replace the whole Plywood floor/interior.

I'm pretty sure its a premix job @ 50:1 - regular unleaded and TCW-3 rated 2 stroke oil.

Yup 50:1 ... had one of those on a Bayliner Cobra 1800.... pretty simple to work on ...

brilliant - thanx guys hopefully it'll be ok anyway. I got a receipt with the boat which was for a rebuild to the engine fours years ago and the bill says £3200------ does this sound credible !!!

Never heard of them. What happend to them? I presume they got gobbled up by someone, or just went bust!

Force were a brand experiment for Bayliner for a short period. Basically rebadged Cryslers for a few years before other mergers enabled them to use decent engines. Cryslers were old fashioned in 1990 and, if I recall correctly, one of the reasons for the re-brand was the reliability reputation they had at that time.

ive seen some force outboards online for sale that are new. maybe not same brand though

It sounds credible, but a bit stupid. You could have nearly bought a brand new one for that 4 years ago. The problem is you send the engine to the menders for a service, then get a call about new this and new that and before you know it the bills 3K (speaks from bitter experience of my brother)
