I've been wondering how the Entry Exit system will affect us from 12th October this year. Ambassador explains in this short video. Its a facebook link so apologies to those who don't use it. The text pretty much covers it though.

An important message from our Ambassador to British nationals living in Portugal. From 12 October 2025, the European Union will begin a phased rollout of the Entry/Exit System (EES), which will gradually replace passport stamping at Schengen borders. If you are resident in Portugal, you are exempt from registering on the EES. However, you must carry valid proof of residency when travelling:
If you moved here before 1st January 2021, this means your Withdrawal Agreement Biometric Residence Card.
If you arrived here after 1st January 2021, you should have a residence permit issued under the general immigration regime.
Please note: QR Code Certificates and other pre-Brexit documents will not be accepted. | Brits in Portugal
