For those that do not like the Maltese Falcon here is something different that was here last week in Majors Bay

After we saw that we went for a swim in this

Can you spot AND identify the anchor in the above 'water' pics?

It's the now legendary Rocna Ice anchor - superb holding - but not for long!

Very close. A Guardian lying on the sand, not doing much in that the wind was almost nil, there was no current and the two metres of stainless steel chain is heavier than the anchor.
[This leads me to start another thread]

Definitely prefer that to the Maltese Falcon,bit of a stunner but curious to know who owns that & how they made their money........

I trump your Guardian with a Rocna!

Also doing nothing this day but doing a lot on the previous one, hence the chain marks in the sand.

Rocna was made in NZ several years ago, so free of any suspicion!

Well, Eos is a vast improvement on that other thing; she could do without the command bunker top deck though !

I thought that too,still I suppose if you had that sort of money you could spend your time tinkering with those sort of things

Thanks for that it's very interesting.She seems to have had a major makeover & for my money it would'nt have been to difficult to improve on some of those bland utilitarian looks.Maybe now Jim Clark is no longer a bachelor
