Does anyone know if the poor bloke has been found yet? Apparently was drowned when he fell out of his dingy over the weekend on His way back over to his boat. He had been at the Folly Inn on the Medina [Cowes] all evening. Dave.

Coastguards search for missing man on IOW

A search has been continuing off the Isle of Wight after a man was reported missing from a yacht. Solent coastguard was alerted to the disappearance early this morning after the discovery of the 30 year old's empty dingy adrift in the River Medina. The man was last seen at a nearby pub.

Police are today expected to formally identify the body of a man who was found washed up on a beach on the Isle of Wight. The body is thought to be that of a yachtsman who disappeared on Friday night. It's feared he drowned trying to get from a dinghy onto a yacht which was moored at Medham Bay.

Harbour taxi guys told us, that he had been drinking all night went back stinking drunk and then tehy found his tender and belongings, they found a combination of drink and weed on board
