Folly In

For my sins I've agreed to take a number of non sailing chaps out on't boat. I was thinking of taking them from Lymington to the Folly Inn, beers, then back.

I don't want to risk putting them in the dinghy; so can anyone tell me if there is a water taxi on week days, assuming we cant get a place with shore acces of course.

You can phone and book the berth at the folly's and at same time ask if ferry thingy still working, think he stops after Oct Holiday, numbers in the Almanac

You should be able to get on to the Folly pontoon (walk ashore) during the week.

What kind of depth at cd have you got on the pontoon - always been out on the river so far myself - but am probably going to be in the same situation as Pete in a week or so's time and the pontoon sounds inviting.

We was there on Tuesday and tied up on the Folly pontoon. There was one other boat there about 2pm.

Can't remember what the depth is at cd, but on a big spring we just settle the keel into the mud with (drawing 1.6m).

How deep is the mud? Draught 2.2m!!
