Follow up to weather charts request,

Firstly, thanks to those who replied to my recent post, Can anyone tell me how the wind arrows relate to wind direction/strength, I assume the barbs and 1/2 barbs on the arrow give an estimate as to projected wind strength, can someone tell me how to 'read' these arrows please. thanks, Mike.

Full barb 10kts ,half barb 5kts. Wind is blowing in direction of arrow! Therefore 3 full barbs and one half =35kts
