I was motoring on the River Hamble a week ago and passed an orange hulled yacht that looked like a Folkboat or a Folksong and i think had the logo Mandarina on the aft port quarter of her hull.

She had very elegant and pretty lines and looked fantastic in the sun. Does anyone by any chance know of this yacht or make of yacht and can cast any further light on her in terms of manufacturer and model etc?

many thanks

Marieholme are very pretty boats like the Folksong but twice the price at about 10K. Lots on the internet about them. I nearly bought one but found a Folksong instead...

Sounds like the others could be right. They did a range of trendy colours in the 1970's and I have seen orange ones. My old one was pea green...
A spectacularly pretty boat, to my eye, one of the most attractive GRP efforts.

PS.

Marieholm were an independant Swedish yard who eventually went in with Albin. They produced a range of motor and sailing boats, you still see the odd Marieholm 32 for sale. The IF boat and the 26 were designed by Tord Sunden, of Folkboat fame, tho they were bigger all round than the original boat. They sail as good as they look.
