I have one of these which I find very useful for transporting gas bottles or my heavy kit bag.

They're on special at Aldi this week - https://www.aldi.co.uk/typo3temp/pics/442af77d6f.jpg

I've had two folding trolleys of this type. Both started to rust quite quickly and the folding wheels mechanism soon became worn such that they would not remain in the fully open position and tended to collapse inwards. For occasional light use away from salt water they may be fine. However we're now looking at fishing trolleys as more robust alternatives.

I'd be interested to read other people's experiences with trolleys.

You described exactly what happened to mine. They are too cheap to last very long.

Mine is Aluminium so no rust in the 15 years I've owned it. With a heavy load like my 13kg capacity gas cylinders the wheels sag a little and once the screw holding the axle fell out but apart from that it does the job. And it stows completely flat, 18" x 24" x 2"

We have had a succession of shopping trolleys over the years, always know as 'Dolly the trolley'.

Surprising how much they can carry and if you live aboard, have no car and cruise, they are fab.

In addition to the folding trolley for gas, cases of wine etc, SWMBO has what she calls her 'granny trolley' for ordinary shopping. She won't go ashore without it.
