There's been a couple of threads regarding folding props recently, so I've picked one up for the coming season. My previous one was a 2 bladed fixed aluminium prop that i would anti foul with whatever I was using on the hull.

What would be the best protection to use on the new shiney brass folder?

I use Dr Barnacles grease on a shiny prop, this gets applied twice a year as I have to change the tiny Volvo anodes. It seems to work reasonably well, I get some deposits, but not enough to affect the performance noticeably. Wessex prop cleaner gets used when I come ashore for antifouling, it works well in my experience.

thanks Richard I'll look into this as I too will need to change the anodes mid season
