If you have no luck getting secondhand bikes have a look in the compass catalogue.

We recently bought one of the cheap ones from the Catalogue.(I think it was about £70 plus postage.) Probably get another before next season.

Really impressed ,fun to ride ,folds easilly and comes in a smart bag. A large cockpit locker is needed though or you can lash it on deck or put it in the forepeak when underway.

Shop around before buying from any of the chandlery mags.
A place worth trying for folders is Hawk Cycles (www.hawkcycles.co.uk).
I bought two (aluminium?) 6 speed, 20" wheel, folding bikes for £70 each earlier this year, infinitely better than the micro wheel versions sold by the sailing mags.

I bought two for a tenner, just needed new brakes liners and one new tyre.

Both doing well after 5 years on board. Cover all bare parts with vaseline over winter and have no rust problems at all.
