folding a Tinker Tramp

I've just got a second-hand Tinker Tramp and have to somehow get it to Spain as hand luggage on the ferry. The only problem is I can't seem to fold it up that well, let alone get it into a "hold-all" like the Tinker website suggests. Is there a secret knack to this? Any suggestions would be welcome.

1) with the dinghy deflated, right way up on the floor, tuck in the full lenght of horizontal seam on each side (just push them in with your fingers)

2) this bit is easiest with two people. Pull the fabric outwards at the last 'hinge' in the floor- boards, then lift that hinge UPWARDS (mind you don't get your fingers stuck).

3) now keep rolling the transom forwards

4) wrap the painter round, then tie off.

If this isn't totally clear, do ask, and I'll have another go at describing it (doing is easy. describing makes it soud complex).

Neal's reply is interesting - it's not what I do, but I will give it a try.

My method is to lift the second seam along from the transom until it's folded double, then let it drop towards the transom. The last couple of bits of the bow will then slot between the top of the transom and the edge of the seam you lifted, resulting in a four-sided box.

The only caveat is that I'v never been very careful about stowing the hypalon within the parcel - maybe Neal's method is more efficient if that is a priority.

NealB's method is the 'official' way of doing it. Henshaw provide a diagram that shows how it is done. I feel sure they would send you a copy if you gave them a ring.
