FMYC 2 Rivers Event last Saturday

We had a great day, luckily the thunder storm held off & we only had rain after dark.
we had 13 entries this year (up from 10 last year). All have a good day out on the water, one competitor decided to start from the FMYC line rather than the HPYC line .
There was live entertainment from the "Hat Check Honeys" followed by prize giving & BBQ + our own disco until 00.30.
We are grateful to our many sponsors whom without we couldnt run this annual event.

Since this is an annual event, would it not be possible to set the date with some more notice?
My watch roster is set 6 months in advance - getting someone to cover for me in July/August is virtually impossible.

I believe next years event is on 25 July 2015. Enough notice???

I'm assuming that's the local sailing triplets and not the same lady that got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes??

I remember the winner from when he was sailing in a carry cot, well the cot was stowed in a bunk aboard his fathers Impala one Deben week

Thanks for a fantastic event Sarah-Jane, committee,sponsors. Best day out on the water in ages. Olivia Anne VI is converted- no more racing without beer stops and orienteering. Consider us booked in for next year. Just enough time to work out where to get a proper dinghy from!
