Flying a kite

Rhyming Slang: Flying a kite

Seein' as it's wee Jamesie, I thought I'd try some clever rhyming, but, disnae work, huvnae got the timing. As for scansion, well, I know it rhymes wi' mansion, well, that disnae fit, and I don't really give a monkey's, nor even a tinker's curse, cos what could be worse, than no bein' able, no more than Mabel at the table, (which wisnae very stable), an' I still cannae think o' something smert aboot kite, except I might, if I think aboot it all night. It's a blight, all right, this writer's block.

Nae block for an active mind

There was a young Scot called jimi,
Who that flying a kite was a gimme,
As the string pulled away,
His crew cried wa-hey
And was last seen west of Bimini

It's not entirely fanciful
