Both my Sony speakers decided to die over the winter /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif god knows why. Have checked all wiring and it's def speakers.
Anyway, looking for replacements, found some clarion ones £50 for 80 watt, and £60 for 100 watt, not too bad I thought as freq range 30hz-18khz, quite impressive for relatively cheap ones! Problem is, I can't find out, having looked at many websites whether they are 4 or 8 ohm, I need 4 for my Alpine!
Anyone know??, and if they are 8 (sods law!), can you recommend any others with same freq range for same price!!
Thanks in advance guys!!

Roo,
Its 4 ohm, 100% certain, take the 100 watts 16.5 cm CM1680A , you'l be impressed with the Q you get from Clarion speakers, i have these and they sound great, wouldnt change them for any other!

If you go for the CM1680As I'd avoid www.edworthys.co.uk, it's taken them almost a month to tell me that they can't get them till the 30th May. They were the best price at under fifty pounds delivered but I got fed up with never getting a return call from them. If you don't mind waiting there probaly the best value.

www.clarionworld.co.uk are doing them for £59.00 delivered but are awaiting stock, most places I tried were also waiting stock. Clarionworld do have the CM1680A in stock at £49.

I've sourced some CM1682As (as new but not brand new) from another company for a very good price but I think it's a one off shelf clearing deal. Let me know if you're interested and I give the guy a call and see if others are available.

Thanks Mark for your offer , but I think i'll try to get them from chandlers first, but might take you up on your offer if no joy!!
Thanks Tom for your comments... just what I wanted to hear, if you'll pardon the pun /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
