Flybridge Helm (Sowester)

The flybridge steering on my Birchwood TS37 has become vert stiff. Wheelhouse is ok. The only identifying mark is the makers badge which is Sowester. Does anyone have any advice on maintenance/lubrication, etc?

Can't help with the maintenance/lubrication but if you need replacement parts I can tell you that I had a problem with an old sea toilet that bore only the name Sowester. A bit of research revealed that they were a supplier who badged other manufacturers products. They are no longer in business - I did manage to find who the original manufacturer was so that may be the only option open to you if you need to go down that route.
