From what I understand from the RNLI report his shafts came to rest on the concrete step of the pier support at LW and the P brackets would have punctured the hull.

Oh damm, that’s really unlucky and no doubt very upsetting for the owner.
worst nightmare. let’s hope we don’t hear of this type of thing very often and that the owner can get back on the water soon.
