I am sure there are many things that can substitute for Rydlyme that were not designed for this specific marine use. But like Jimmy I just dont think the calculated risk is worth it. Why save a tenner or so when the consequence will cost many many times more should there be an issue. It's like using Y10. We all know what the active ingredient is and how to make it ourselves. Few bother, it's pennies and a little goes a long way.
