Flushing a KAD 42 or similar

saltwater is one of the main long term reason for corrosion

if the boat was on a trailer and freshwater was nearby from a hose, what modification would have to be made to flush the engine properly and with ease ?

Assuming out drives, just use flushing muffs or arrange the drive in a dustbin full of water and run the engine.
