I am looking to fit a new foredeck hatch. The current is a solid GRP one but has the virtue of being flush fitting with the deck and I would like to retain this feature if at all possible. However, I cannot find a manufacturer who produces fulsh fitting hatches (Vetus, Gebo, Lewmar). Lewmar have one on their web site, but it is for fitting into new-builds with a purpose moulded recess in the GRP deck. Surely someone must make one to retrofit into a flat single skin foredeck?

Try Here I know that they have a marine division and have seen/handled (excuse the pun) some of their kit. They do have dealers over here, if you cannot find one PM me and I will put you in touch with a company in stockport whose computer network I maintain, they are dealers/agents and they can get the marine kit as well.
Good hunting. Mal

Whooops just re-read that original post this A.M. did'nt twig lastnight that is was hatches you were looking for NOT 'Hatch Cathches'
Silly me, just shows how much the heat is getting to my brain /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

To be honest with you I would go for a raised hatch, much easier to make waterproof.
I looked for a long time for Imperial hatches but eventually settled on a Vetus hatch and am very impressed with it. They're not that expensive either.
Get a Vetus catalogue and think about dimensions.
It's not difficult to make an "upstand".
