Hope you booked a big enough yacht for the rest of us....

Ooh im jealous, you will love every minute of it, done it 3 times, just booked 2 weeks with mickey mouse in florida instead of going sailing at easter. funny thing the adult bin lids (when it suits them) wanted to come with us this time!!
Stu

Shame about the week ashore, but you could always get a ferry to Meganissi and visit Babbis & Pannis at their taverna at Porto Spilia for a week. Try the mussel and prawn saganakis [with added chips] and several large Amstels!!

I live on the island, for your week ashore, hire yourself a cheapo scooter and see the island. You will find all the prices far cheaper than the uk, exept for Fiskardo, it can be expensive in certain Taverners, look at the price before you eat.
Mythos is far better than Amstel, enjoy!

Kefalonia

Davy a friend of mine is now living on Kefalonia too. He sailed his boat a
(catamaran) there this year.

It's moored in Argostoli. I'm seeing him Sunday as he is back for Xmas / New Year and we intend to go to LIBS on Sunday.

I'll put you in touch

Don't bother with Nicky's...biggest rip-off in the Ionian, twice the price of anywhere else and don't fall for the con of the 'You try my pudding' insinuating it's free to try, it isn't!!!

I have to be very honest here, I have eaten and drank very well out of season in Fiskardo, It is a very pretty harbour/place but, I do hate to see tourists and visitors ripped off! It reflects badly on the rest of the island, which I feel is unjustified. If you travel inland from Fiskardo to one of the many hamlets/villages you can have a very pleasant evening for less than half the price including taxi transfer to and fro. Agia Efimia which the flottilas visit is certainly less than half the price of Fiskardo. They will kill the goose that lays the golden egg, given enough time. My honest advice for what its worth is travel the island and see for yourself, vote with your wallet.
