My boat is fitted with twin FloScan 6500 fitted to the 2 x Perkins Sabre M225TI in 1998. I have owned the boat for 9 years and changed fuel and oil filters every 100 hours. Rough 11 hour passage from Port Haliguen to Sables in W x F5 with beam 3m atlantic swell meant a lot of rolling. 6 hours in and the stbd engine rpm and floScan started fluctuating. Guessed sediment had been stirred up. Stopped engine and although the racors looked ok pulled the fuel filters off the engine. They looked clean and when refitted the engine started but not full power. Now the question! Do the pulsation damper units need replacing as routine maintenance? No FloScan manual on board but see you can buy from the states at $50 per damper!

Thanks for your advice
