Hi Arthur,

Saw this on the web, looks a lovely area (from what you can see of it) wondered if you recognised it and if it was anywhere near you? Appreciate it is a bit of a "So you're American, I once knew an American called John, do you know him" question but you never know...!

Re: If arthur is american I must be scottish.NM

Appreciate AW is British, was making the "I once knew an american" analogy to make point that I realise that just because he is in Florida doesn't mean he knows every inch, no more than an american knows every other american!

Sorry for any confusion...

Ari

I get it!:-) Bit like " Oh you're British; did you know Princess Di?" which we've been asked occasionally.

Re: Weather report

Ah, well it rained last night but today is hazy and humid and warm. Found cause of prob with boat - well, a bloke did for $278-so feeling better. Have to go and buy an ignition bit now, put it back together and go off for a couple days w/SWMBO and her sister once other bloke has been to clean props etc.

Re: It was

a duff ignition module. The same thing which gave us probs in Bahamas last year when they changed a prop shaft before they found the problem. Then is was only dirty contacts, this time it died. I didn't even know what the thing was; it's screwed to the side of the distributor and leads go to the coil.
Funny thing was that there was a spark at the plugs but I could not get anything from a test light. Obviously (now) it was only a weak spark. Ig Mod cost a further $201, but allowed us to do an overnighter to place nr Clearwater - Gulfport- looks a bit of a dump but there's a fab French Restaurant there. Just got back after 57nm round trip - cool and cloudy.
