Last weekend discovered I have a very slight leak on the flojet water pump, it looks like it is from the pressure switch, so it is either a service part or replacement.

But first and just being cautious, is there anything I should know before trying to remove it. It seems to me just a straight forward drain the water tank and switch off, then just disconnect the two water pipes.

It is a Flojet R4405-143A.

Thanks.

The pump is higher than the tank outlet?? if so no danger of flooding, just remove the pipes in/out from the pump the wiring connections and remove from boat. To be belt and braces plug the pipe with a cork from one of your wine bottles. LOL

Dead easy job. I did it last week when i replaced due to a leak with it. Switch off power to pump and open a couple of taps to release the pressure, otherwise when you pull of the high pressure side of the pump you'll get a good soaking.

Taking the pump apart is easy too and most parts are available.
