Flavell Cookers

I have just bought a boat fitted with a Flavell Vanessa cooker. I would like to obtain a set of gimbals for the cooker but I do not seem to be able to locate Flavell on the net. Does anyone know if such an item is still available and if so, where?

The standard Plastimo gimble and pan holder set can be bolted to a Flavell Cooker. But remember that the Flavel has only flame failure on the oven.

Do not know if they will have the gimballs, but for any other Flavell parts try "Gas On Spares" unit 3, block 6 Shenstone Trading Estate, Bromsgrove Road, Halesowen, West MidlandsB63 3XB 0120-5857799. I last dealt with them in 1998

Can you retrofit flame failure to a Flavell?

Even if it was possible, I do not think it is practical or cost effective to do this to the two rings and the grill on a Flavell.

I sold the Flavell I was going to fit and bought a new Techimpex with two rings and an oven all with flame failure and including the pan holder/gimbles from Gale Force in Inverness. They were less expensive than anyone else.

I was in Gale Force today and they have a sale on and the cooker I was refering to in my previous post was for sale at £245. They did not stock the particular 12mm rope I require for main and genoa haliards however.
