We have an old gas cooker on board -Flavel B700. The two rings work fine, the grill is somewhat smelly and the oven does not light. I would welcome suggestions as to how viable it is to repair this model (most likely 30 years old or more) or alternatively to suggest a similar sized replacement which would slot neatly into the gimballed location where the Flavel currently resides.
Thanks!

I think your cooker may pre-date the Venessa and be a bit smaller in width. In any case the Spinflo Nelson is a near replacement, tho you may have to fiddle a bit to fit it in. The big plus for a new cooker is the flame out failsafe. You may find you gain a bit of space underneath the new cooker, useful for storage.

If £500 for a new unit is a bit much, I would look for a secondhand Vanessa, there are loads around, as they were a popular choice for caravans.

PS
I forgot to say. I would not bother fussing with the old one. It is almost certainly very difficult to find parts and, after a hard marine life, it has earned it's rest.
