Just before Christmas I had a minor mishap in that my seacock on the sink outlet pipe decided to let water in to the locker through which it exits. My first knowledge of this was when the water had tipped out of the locker and caused the floorboards to float. In the locker were my flares which were of course completely immersed. I am buying some new ones anyway, but will my dried out flares be any good? By flares I do of course mean distress flares rather than the trousers I wore in the 70s!

They will probably work but I'd be reluctant to depend on them. I would buy a couple of new ones in case some or all of them don't work.
