The scheme is bonkers. It is financially unviable, with huge staff, premises, infrastructure, equipment, and operating costs.


And "free of charge " to the public ? Altruism works, but not in this case.

We have gone electric, along with DSC, Epirb etc I think its enough. The liferaft has flares in if things get that serious.

I loved the line that said " the appetite for tax payer funded waste disposal in this area is very much lacking" .....what a surprise if I think about the list of topics I want to see tax payer funding on then this is so far down the list its in the Southern Hemisphere.

So true, there’s no way the taxpayer should be funding this when as you say there’s far more important things to sort.

But I am interested in the LED flares.
