Our intrepid circumnavigators continue. Slight mishap: prop blades got ripped off and there they were, drifting in a busy sea lane. A big boat missed the by 100 feet. They had a spare prop, but no prop extractor.

Now, it wd seem a bit sensible to have a prop extractor, imho, esp if u have a spare prop on board. And the white flares - that's what they are for too - drawing attn to self esp in asian sea being approached by arab ship. Also, gloves for getting hold of sharp or hot things wd be an idea, insted of ripping hands and dripping blood into the sharkified sea. However, I remain very very positive, and not in the least bit nasty or supercilious. Nonetheless -Jeez!

Eight or nine more incidents yet due, counting that as a prop disaster, wakeup?

Re: shit/fan interface

unfortunately they seem to have had 4 out of 9 predicted incidents within last week. I hope they get it sorted. Praps the real problem with lots of stops is the amount of water-born crap to hit with the prop, I wonder?
