Flame retardant covering for noise insulation

On my 2001 yacht the covering of the noise insulation on the engine room door is trashed. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get suitable fire resistant/retardant material to stick to the foam. Obviously, self adhesive would be best#

You should be able to just copy ( it autocopies if you click on it) the IMG code and paste it into your post, but there is something odd about the way your PB account works ... forget now what needs to be cahnged !

Cant help wtih the insulation though. What about aluminium foil ?

For proper sound/heat insulation you need a sandwich construction - lead, foam, foil.
You can buy this from Halyard Engineering who, though not the cheapest, are probably the best. It comes with its own epoxy adhesive and is far more successful, in marine soundproofing terms, than any of the soundproofing materials used in anechoic chambers.
Whilst it is flame-retardant its main purpose is to muffle the sound on engines.

In your user settings, on the "albums" tab un-tick the " Link back "option. I think that will sort it out

I have the insulation as fitted originally. It is the cover that torn as various engineers have been in and out of the engine bay. With the cover ripped, the foam is exposed.

Halyard do not seem to do the cover without the foam, hence my question

I suspect that the cover material is cosmetic, could replace with Formica, over the retardent foam. If you want to be really safe, paint with intumescent coating
