New stocks of burgees are needed for Commodore, Vice Com and Rear Com.

There appears to be no definitive etiquette on the design of these, some clubs/ countries seems to use rectangular burgees, others a swallow tail- all seem to agree that the Commodore's has no defacement, the Vice C. has one circle/ball and the Rear C. two circles/balls in the upper, inner canton.

I have seen it mentioned that Past Commodores use a rectangular burgee, implying the incumbent Commodore should use a swallowtail?

Can anyone point me in the direction of an authoritative view which I might use to demonstrate to my Club which is the most common form?

Commodore, Vice Commodore and Rear Commodore all have swallowtails. Vice and Rear Commodores are distinguished by having one and two balls respectively in the upper cantons next to the hoist.

I'm just a committe member, not a flag officer, but I'll continue to fly my balls where they belong, not on a flag!
