Hello to All,

I recently purchased a 1970 (27ft) Selsco Selcruiser and I am looking for advice and parts. I am trying to restore it with original hardware and parts, if possible. Is anyone familiar with this type of boat?

Thnaks Tons,
rdrago

Welcome Robin.
I have one dating from the Fjord period: 1980, and there are others on here who have had them over the years. There are Fjord (who took over Selco) clubs in Sweden and Norway, they have websites and sicussion boards and several people who will happily use English.

Try Here for one of the groups. Lars Lundbladh has good English if you have no Swedish.

What sort of stuff are you after? I have original documentation for wiring diagram, seatrials and that sort of thing, but all as Fjord, which I would ba happy to scan and email.

The Fjord company themselves are usually unable to be of any help at all, the factory at Arendal burned down in 1986 and most of the records and bits and bobs that might otherwise have been useful were lost.

Andrew,
Thank you for responding, I am looking for any information I can get. It looks as if this boat may have been through several owners each modifing the motor(6cyl Volvo Penta) and wiring. Some of the original lights are broken and the gages are not operational. Anything you have will be helpful. My e-mail address is rdrago@bellsouth.net
Thanks Again,
Robin

i am in the middle of buying a fjord 27 ft boat i presume it is the same model as yours i think mine is a 1979 model it is original with the exception of a new canopy and seating retrim, i dont want to keep it as original i wanted a newer cruiser which my finances wouldnt allow, i would be happy to send any photos if required parts may be a bit more difficult.

i will try to sell the removed parts rather that waste good spares if any one needs any parts please let me know so i can remove them without damage.

Hi ericbab, I have relieved Andrew of his Fjord and inherited a lot of documentation, I haven't inherited his encyclopaedic knowledge, but might be able to look stuff up (c:

is there anything you wanted to know/discuss in particular?

Great boat for it's time and very good build quality. Downfall for the ones with larger diesel engine was the Vovo six cylinder MD 32 .... search for "Volvo MD 32" and you'll find a few hints & tips ... also think there are user/maintenance manuals "out there". Echo the guides to the Fjord/Selcruiser forums as there boat shave a strong following both in Norway and Sweden.
