fjord gel coat colour match

After 40 years, the colour won't resemble its original colour code anyway. A decent GRP repair guy will be able to match it for you.

Even if you managed to find some, it would be a different colour to what you have now due to age and weathering etc.

As with any colour, there are thousands of variations.
Rather than trying to find the original, you would be better off mixing your own.
Cream gel can have pink and blues mixed in, if that helps.

It won't be spot on, but you could get a rough colour match from most gel suppliers like East Coast Fibreglass supplies, but to get it spot on you will need to have it matched by a pro.

It would be nice to read a colour code off a VIN plate as with cars, but not so with boats i'm afraid.

Have you something you could take off to send for colour matching? if it's for a repair, then just a small amount of gel surrounding the repair would help.

Thanks for that. I have a sample I can send to West and Senior who will make up a match from the sample but they want £300.00 for doing so!!

Looks like I'll have to go down this route. GRP chap I use has spent a lot of time already trying to mix a match with no success.
