My sexy wife has a sexy Fireball dinghy which she races in the Dun Laoghaire Frostbite series (Dublin, Ireland, every Sunday, November to March). She's a very good sailor, the boat is a four year old Guy Winder wide bow white boat, epoxy foam sandwich construction.

Last Sunday, 23 January, she was t-boned in the race, with a rather large hole in the port side.

I endeavoured to get the boat fixed and back in the races by working each evening after completing the day job.

If you are interested in dinghy / boat repair, have a look here.

Fireball Class Association

It's a boat, and it's practical, and she's the owner.

Neat. Like the strings idea, which is something I'd have pondered about for hours as how to do, and now know exactly how to approach something like that in future

Thanks for all the kind words, folks. T'other boat, a Laser II, kindly ponied up the repair costs in the Club Bar on Sunday afternoon.

I'm musing that the PBO staff read these posts, so if they want to talk business, they know where to find me!
