Hi
First of all thanks to all your responses about my circuit diagram for my starting/charging system. I have now rewired and everything works well, glowplug now glows, engine starts first time and I now have 14.2 volts at the battery. Now i am starting on the domestic circuit and i have a question about the VSR which i want to fit. Where abouts do i connect it? By that i mean which side of the battery isolator switches do i connect it? I have found lots of manufactures diagrams online but they all do it differently.

If you are fitting solar panels or wind genny, wire before the isolator.
Allows you to isolate all equipment, but still charge all batteries, assumming a bi-diectional VSR.

If you are not fitting any alt charging system, wire after the isolator.
Allows you to isolate all equipment and minimise battery drain.
