Hi all,new to the forum so any help greatly appreciated.Been fitting new cables to my outboard and had a bit of a trauma doing it but managed to get them connected up,havent had chance to run the motor on them yet but was having a bit of trouble getting to grips with the setting of them,in the manual it says adjust the cable barrel on the throttle cable until the link rod is centred in the slot,i know what the link rod is etc just didnt get what centred in the slot meant also the gear shift cable was locking the prop when in reverse ,spinning freely both ways in neutral and turning in one direction in forward is this set right ? as it just says in the manual it should lock the prop in gear in either forward or reverse
