Morning guys, I would like to fit a chartplotter on the port side of the hatch on my Moody34.
Question how thick is it there by the vent, can I screw the bracket with into the deck .
or is it too thin and will need to bolt through. . I would have liked it in a pod by the weel but that a lot of messing about and think it will get in the way any help is welcome

Thanks david

A few months ago I fitted a chartplotter to a Moody 38.
The neatest solution was to use a Scanstrut Pod. They are normally cost prohibitive for some people but buying a clearance one from ebay makes the difference. Despite the case being silver you really don't notice it.

The pod was mounted just to the left of the companionway.

The Moody Owners Association is a very useful source of information. Apart from the knowledge of the members themselves theAassociation has a lot of background details on the individual boats. If you are not a member I would advise you to become one.
