Fitting a calorifier

I assume yours is raw water cooled? I did this on a friends boat, also with an AQ260a. One hose used a hosetail fitted to a blanking plug on the circulation pump (not the the raw water impeller pump) and the other used a hosetail fitted to one of the block drains just above the sump (theres one on each side of the engine). I cant remember what the thread sizes were. Dont buy from volvo - they'll have 50 or 60 quid off you for a fitting kit which comprises two hosetails and a sheet of a4 paper with instructions!

This was plumbed in with heater hose, resulting in hot water after about half an hour of running with a calorifier about the same size as the one in your link. When we did that one, we ended up buying a new circulation pump as the blanking plug was well siezed in there. They aren't too expensive if it comes to that.

If i can find some pictures I'll post them

Hope that helps
Alex

Cant find any photos which show it clearly, but it'll be self explanatory when you find the plugs you need to remove. One on the circulating pump, and one of the block drains.
