Looking at the Fiskardo webcam it appears that the floating pontoon is absent again. Has anyone any news as to what is happening this year?

I asked the same (similar) question on another thread--looks to me on the contrary like it's there! looks like a lot of boats stern-to in front of the taverna. Any first-hand reports?

Looks like it's there to me. It actually doesn't go all that far round the curve of the harbour, IIRC.

It comes and it goes, depends on whether there's been any heavy weather blowing about there.
The only way to be sure is to contact someone who's there and can eyeball it.

No it is not in place. It is Moored on the south side of the harbour in quite a sorry state and clearly will need some repairs. Until it is put back in place the available quayside mooring is much reduced. This is based on 25/4/14

thanks for the first-hand report. so there will be very little space on the quay, meaning it will be long-lining again this year, unless one gets in just as the wind starts to blow!

I was there last Sunday and the pontoon is still secured , as nickf states , in several sections .
we are still experiencing southerlies for the near future which is not good for re positioning it in place .
