This afternoon, we noticed a small fishing boat washed up ashore.
Just south of Trimley Marshes.
Notified Ipswich Port and they said 'they were aware of the situation'.

Anyone who knows the owner might want to contact him.
I vaguely remember her being on a mooring off SYH.

Also there's an HR36 just upriver from SYH (STBD side) 'Snowgoose' IIRC (something goose anyway): blue genoa cover ripped to shreds.

We sailed up the Orwell today and were surprised to see that the fishing boat is still there.
I hope it's insured. A high tide and an Easterly could see it bouncing its way up the river.

It's had a keel broken off and the tide is regularly flooding it. I would imagine because of it's continued laying, it is unlikely it is insured and I guess it will become a feature of the landscape until proof states otherwise.

The poor boat has, at last, been moved.
It's now chained down in the saltings on the west bank - near Shotley sluice
