hi, just picked ip an old boat.

it has a transducer and speed log fitted but the wires vave been cut.

can i fit these senders to any display or do i need to know the manufacturer etc?

if so what's the best way to ID them?

cheers, steve.

knowing manuf would make matching wires easier, but transducer will prob work with any head once you connect the wires to the proper terminals, can't understand why everybody cuts the wires rather than unplug the thing. the speed log may be another problem, the rep head will need this function to work and more wires to connect once you figure which is which. would start with sounder first. good luck...

thanks gents (assuming naturally!)

i'll have another look at 'em... the electronix were stolen from the boat, i have another fishfinder etc, but it has a thu hull transducer and no speed log.

i figured that if i could connect it up i'd have a decent fishfinder and speed log on a sensible boat... (that'd be a first too!)

the old fishfinder is fitted to my displacement boat at the moment , so not an issue, but i didn't think it would work too well, on a fast fisher type.

anyway thanks for your advice, always very welcome and appreciated.

steve,
