Doreen Lofthouse who died back in March has left £41M to Fleetwood, her home town.

I remember when the Gas works exploded, devastating the whole area and causing damage amounting to around 3 quid.
I think they can rebuild Fleetwood several times and have a fair amount of change from £41m.

What a wonderful legacy. Reading reports in the press, Mrs Lofthouse had already ploughed tens of millions into her local community. Let’s hope this windfall is wisely spent, improving the lives of the people of Fleetwood.
