Fisher Northeaster?

A mate, ex fisherman, is getting into sailing & has been looking at Colvic, LM's (expensive) & Fishers.
He mentioned a Northeaster, based on the 30' hull but beamier.
Anyone got any experience/knowledge they want to share?

Is it beamier? As far as I was aware, it was a Fisher 30 hull with a different superstructure.

Also 11" longer.

It's astonishing to think they they created a new mould for a wider hull, for a boat which they couldn't have expected to sell in big numbers.
