Anyone know the name of that peculiar looking fish which swims just under the surface & looks as if its swimming on its side with one fin above the surface.

if it's around 5ft long and looks like the front half of a shark it's a sunfish. saw one jump out of the water while crossing biscay. quite a sight!

Often seen around the Cornish coast , If you see one there is usually more around.
Its possible to approach very close to them, often first noticed by the large fin
flapping in the air!

What about fishing in that part of the med? Ive had no luck yet when trawling, any success stories or tips.
I use a boat rod with approx 50 m of line out and various types of spinners/lures
but so far nought.
No problems when anchored or drift fishing from the bottom.
