SS Gruppenfuhrer Eileen von Kickinthecods and Byron "do as you're told" made their way down the garden to the launch today. The two dogs and 'Faeces Face' the cat leapt aboard and off we went straight into the face of winds gusting force 8. The waves on our stretch of the river must have been about 4" high but never-the-less we battled on. After an hour or two we put the boat back in the boat house and walked back up the garden where I was allowed to write this message before returning to my duties as Chief Washer Upper and sex toy.

I know what you mean. I had to row back up river from my mooring to the boathouse. Normally 1/4 of an hour, it took me 1 hour being blown back and fore across the river. Damn near killed me. I getting far too old for this!! /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Where did I go? Across the river of course to the Beetle & Wedge, a few healthy red wines washed down with some excellent Armagnac. Well worth the tongue lashing I gained from "she who has knuckles that drag upon the ground"
