Ran down to Windsor and took a look at the Olympic bridge - not exactly attractive but functional:

Lockies at Boveney were putting nice new lifebuoys into place:

Doesn't get much better in March !

Took advantage of the fine weather and boated down to Kingston to do some shopping - a place I'd avoid by car but nice by boat.

Every conceivable bollard has bee painted; even ones on laybys - some of which I didn't know existed (usually covered in grass...).
Some of them have been painted with care, others look unloved with just a splash of paint.

En passage, I discovered that Bell Weir has not been fixed - well not from the boaters point of view, which angers me as I volunteered to go on site during the 2 day shutdown in November to show EA what didn't work, but was rejected.

(I'll do further research before logging an incident report on TMBA).

Couldn't resist the temptation of a second day pootling to the George and Dragon.....lots more boats out now.....

Locks on public power and singlehanded? Pah!!! What a doddle!

There's a palpable sense of excitement: another new season afloat....loverly!
