Just had a look at some pics. and charts of the area, looks great. We intend doing some exploring in this area next month, to check out the harbours and marinas I usually only read about ;)

Let us know when you're coming, if it suits, you're welcome aboard to see some of the sights. Portavadie marina has high quality accommodation for realistic prices, worth a look if you're looking to visit http://www.portavadiemarina.com

image.jpgWell Little Ship is in East Loch Tarbert for the night, Bojangles has been in to say hello and is coming back tomorrow, Searanger just left as we were coming in.

Somebody must have told him we were coming

Weather is beautiful, whippets are off on a walk and I'm looking forward to a pint and dinner.

Tom.

Well that will teach you for being such a popular bloke Tom :)

Could this be the beginning of the West Scotland Mob? :D

We had a West Scotland YBW forumite visit us here in Tasmania this summer, did the tour on our cruise boat as well as a trip on AndieMac, lovely folks indeed.

looks nice, is that the Ardlamont Point dolphin? I'll be passing there tomorrow on my way to Portavadie
Apologies , just reading these replies now I am home. Ys it was the one at Ardlamont point , its amazing how it is always there and loves to show off to passing boats. I was berthed across from you at Portavadie so sorry for not speaking. I think I did have a blether with you before as we once berthed next to you when we had the Birchwood "La Notte".

Was to busy taking in the weather with a nice Aberlour on the flybridge when you arrived.

Met Tom as we were leaving Tarbert for Otter Ferry but it was purely coincidental we left as he arrived , honest. Had a chat with him on the Sunday at Portavadie

Totally brilliant week , lets hope this weather stays for the rest of the boating year.

I realised that was you when I walked past after securing the boat, catch up next time no doubt. We had a nice trip up from Kip on Friday and met Tom briefly at Tarbert, was hoping to return there on Saturday but ran out of time having to return for a night out at home, bah..

Passed the dolphin on Friday and Saturday but wondered what happened to it's calf that was by it's side in September last year?

Good luck with the new boat George - she looks fantastic - real solid piece of marine engineering !
We are just in & fitting bigger davits for the boys new toy (Ribeye 350TS) before heading up river to Kip this year - possibly also Craobh if the summer looks good.
Hope to catch up with you during the season

Alan , yes really happy with the Searanger. We got caught in a few nasty days last year and it just ploughed through them. Really does fill you with confidence.

Saw you were back in the water when we arrived back at the weekend and we just commented that we hadnt seen you at all last year. Hope my daughter doesnt see the boys new toy as she has been at me for a bigger/faster rib or a jetski but I am limited with the weight my passarelle will lift and the davits ( At least that is what I keep telling her !)

We normally end up at Craobh at some point during the summer weeks so will look out for you.

Cheers
