Bright sunshine but a tad nippy.
Took the grandson and few of his classmates up river over the weekend. Fed them in Zizzis in Maidstone Town centre, short walk from moorings and then back down to lock over night.
Fortunately one of the long term moorers at the lock was away, so nipped into his berth , far more in importantly tho......a vacant power socket.

About £20. for berth and power.
River remarkably clear of rubbish especially its normal crop of logs.
Three or four boats in town centre.
Nattering to the lockeeper he commented on a noticable lack of boats coming upstream from the non tidal waters over past few years. Boats from upstream were still moving around in the same numbers.
They are now supposed to charge for tenders.

Dropped the arch for Aylesford Bridge but need not have bothered at least 6 or 7 ft above radar dome.
Fenders in the Thames position.
On the club drying blocks next Monday.
Looking forward to Limehouse a week later .
