On our way, sailing in 18knts on the beam, a bit chilly but great!

But where is this well sheltered bay where we had lunch?

Oh well, as there is a distinct lack of interest (because its not Scotland? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) I'll tell you where it is. Its sailing between Port de Bormes and the beautiful Island, with crystal clear water, of Port Cros, off Hyreres.

Sailing on Friday, great steady breeze, not another boat in sight. The main port (as seen in the photo) was empty. We picked up a buoy had some lunch and then had a superb close hauled sail back, in again about 18knts of breeze.

It is a Bav, a 1999 36, just bought and in superb condition, with only 3500 nm on the log and 400 hours on the engine. Even the dodgy joinery down below is good! The other surprising thing is that it sailed very well, the very non standard cruiser laminate sails will have helped there, I'm sure.

(edit) Its the owner smiling, not me, I'm behind the camera, but I was smiling too.
